Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will lead the Human Resources function for our Laser business with primary operations in Dassel, MN and a smaller footprint in Brooklyn Park, MN.   This role is a hands-on strategic partner to the business leading the function in the areas of: employee relations, talent acquisition, talent development, and worker's compensation.  This position oversees a Human Resources Coordinator and a part-time administrative assistant.

• Champion the effectiveness of HR programs throughout the employment life-cycle
• Partner with cross functional teams to identify an implement solutions to people-based business issues
• Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
• Lead the talent acquisition process by implementing effective recruiting methods and campaigns, increase visibility on social media, lead intern programs, participate in school programs and career fairs and develop relationships with third party vendors
• Coach leaders on developing their leadership muscles and building effective teams
• Manage the worker's compensation program and return to work program
• Work closely with business leaders to drive employee performance and organizational effectiveness

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field or an active SHRM Certification
• 10 years of experience working in a variety of HR disciplines
• Prior supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal skills, high level of confidentiality and discretion
• Excellent analysis and decision-making skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
